[2006.12.6] “Facial Spasm” Health Class held

Samsung Medical Center held the 117th Chosun Ilbo-Samsung Medical Center collaborative health class on November 22nd on the subject of ‘Facial Spasm and Facial Palsy.’

The class included Professor Park Kwan of neurosurgery’s ‘The diagnosis and treatment of facial spasm,’ Professor Kim Byung-Joon of neurology’s ‘The diagnosis and treatment of facial palsy,’ and Professor Moon Ku-Hyun of plastic surgery’s ‘The plastic surgery way of treating facial palsy. It was attended by patients with facial palsy, patients with facial spasm scheduled for surgery, patients that have already had surgery, and other guardians that totaled to about 450 people.

This occasion was prepared to provide correct information in order to prevent cases where diagnosis and treatments get delayed even though facial spasm or palsy can lead to relationship problems and even result in the loss of will to live.
